Conservative Candidate Wins!
Trowbridge Central Ward by-election candidate, David Halik, became the first Conservative to represent this ward in a nail-biting contest. He takes his seat with the Conservative Group on both the District and Town councils.

Knight, John (lD) 366 (44.7%) Conservative 448 (34%)
Majority 86 Independent 344 (26%)
